Description E.F.E.C.T. Association (Education, Formation, Evaluation, Creativity, Tradition) has as main objective developing innovative programmes in order to identify and implement new methods in training activity for a better integration of the individuals in the labour market. In order to do that, we: - develop training programmes in order to identify the competencies that are going to be used in order to enter the labour market - develop training programmes for the employees in order to improve their professional activity and to integrate better in the labour system; E.F.E.C.T. has developed partnerships with different national organizations in the education field and with the professional associations. In Romania according to the statistics, women represent 51, 2% of total number of population and 47, 6% is the percent represented by the active women on the labor market. Also according to some studies made by the National Agency of Labor force the percent of active women is increasing annually and the unemployment rate for women is lower than for men. Although their participation is very high, the positions they have in the hierarchy of leadership are average. As a percent very few women get to have a top position or a leader position and men still keep their supremacy as far as important positions or high responsibility positions are concerned. In schools, high schools or superior education the number of teachers/professors jobs are held mostly by women whereas the leader of the organization is most of the time a man. The same situation is present in the administrative and legal sector. We do not talk here about discrimination, as the Constitution provides equal rights for both men and women, but women do not always get the position they really deserve and a man is considered more suitable for a leader position. We feel that the situation has to be changed in favor of women and finally rewarding their efforts because they are also involved in the children’s’ education and during the 2-year maternity leave they are paid from the social contribution fund to which each woman paid monthly, the legally established sum during their active period. Women are equally prepared as men and have the desire to contribute to the development of the economy and society. They just need some training in order to discover their leader abilities and how they can use these . It is imperative to start promoting the idea of women leader and thus, to prove their abilities. |
